Product informations
TEICO is indicated for parenteral treatment of the following infections in adults and children from birth :
- Complicated skin and soft tissue infections,
- Osteoarticular infections,
- Nosocomial pneumonia,
- Community-acquired pneumonia,
- Complicated urinary tract infections,
- Infective endocarditis,
- Peritonitis associated with continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (capd),
- Bacteremia occurring in association with one of the indications mentioned above.
TEICO is also indicated as an oral therapeutic alternative in the treatment of diarrhea and colitis associated with Clostridium difficile infection. In some cases, teicoplanin must be administered in combination with other antibacterial.
