ALLERGOLOGY

What is allergology ?

Allergology is a medical specialty that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of allergies. In fact, an allergy is an unexpected and sometimes severe reaction of the immune system when the body is exposed to certain substances (allergens) that are harmless to most people. The allergic reaction can range from mild (red spots) to severe (a small number of people can experience a severe allergic reaction called anaphylaxis, which is a medical emergency and requires immediate treatment).
