Product informations
Levoflox is indicated in adults for the treatment of the following infections (see sections 4.4 and 5.1) :
- Acute bacterial sinusitis.
- Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.
- Community-acquired pneumonia.
- Complicated skin and soft tissue infections.
For the aforementioned infections, Levoflox should only be used when the antibiotics recommended for initial treatment of these infections are deemed inappropriate.
- Pyélonéphrites et infections urinaires compliquées (voir rubrique 4.4).
- Prostatites chroniques bactériennes.
- Cystites non compliquées (voir rubrique 4.4).
- Maladie du charbon : prophylaxie post-exposition et traitement curatif (voir rubrique 4.4).
Levoflox can also be used as a switch therapy after initial intravenous treatment with levofloxacin in patients who have shown improvement in their condition.
Official recommendations regarding the appropriate use of antibacterial should be taken into account.
